Criminal Trials in the Middle East

I am heading to Iraq in days to do some field work respecting Iraqi court practice.  But before I did, I thought I'd plug some of my latest work in a series of posts.  This is the first, really my inaugural column as a regular, monthly columnist at Jurist, rather than what I've been before, merely a guest columnist.   Enjoy,
